To change up the site a little, I thought I would add a short clip from another natural horsemanship trainer, John Lyons. I admire his work, get natural horsemanship training tips and techniques that I use in my daily training.

Well, I had to put some video on here with my granddaughter Lydia on my horse Sunny.  I am attempting to get my preschool granddaughters to learn a natural love of horses, and as Olihvia is telling me in the background, Lydia has to make him go.

So June 15 horse training included round pen work — first, get the mare used to the saddle, easy enough, right?

Then let her realize the saddle is there — look out, kitty

And finally, let her connect to you … all in a day’s work

Catching the mare for the first lesson June 15 2009 proved to be a challenge.

So he got his ponying horse and did it the cowboy way!

And the result, the horse is connecting….sort of
