Buck Brannaman
Horse whisperer Buck Brannaman was in Alberta in November for a clinic. The inspiriation for the book The Horse Whisperer was in Nanton Alberta Canada at the end of November. This horse trainer is no newbie on the scene, he has been training horses the natural way for over a quarter of a century!!
Brannaman is quick to admit that his horse ability is a learned skill, which goes against the premise that one is a “born” horse whisperer. According to this horse whisperer, its the hard work and determination that carries one into “horse whisperer” stature.
Author of The Faraway Horses: The Adventures and Wisdom of One of America’s Most Renowned Horsemen and Believe: A Horseman’s Journey
this star in the equine world is uneasy with his fame. Only wanting to ride horses and be left alone, this former trick roper turned horse whisperer soon learned that to work with the horses effectively, he had to teach the riders.
He found that once the riders themselves learned what went into the process of having a good horse under them, he was better able to deal with other horses. And his fame spread, and the result, 26 years later, was his first natural horsemanship clinic in Nanton Alberta Canada — knows as cowboy country.
From the first clinic he held in 1982, through today, Brannaman finds that the clinics are more than a training ground for horse and rider. It is also a journey of self discovery for the riders themselves, most walking away from a clinic with new self insights as well as new horse insights. And that makes Brannaman’s hard work and non stop travel worthwhile.

Iam writing a term paper about horse whispering looking for any help I can get!!! I am a horse lover grew up on the back of a great Quarter Horse mare. When we lost her to old age I thought I would never recover from it,and still haven’t completely. Please send any info you can about whispering. Thank You
